Amidst all of Pelham Bay Park’s footpaths, there are three beautiful trails, marked with color trail markers.
Kazimiroff Nature Trail
The Kazimiroff Nature Trail loops around Hunter Island’s forests, wetland edges, and rocky shores.
Siwanoy Trail
Named for the indigenous people who once lived on this land, the Siwanoy Trail is a branching, 3.5-mile trail through the Bartow-Pell woods, the Central Woodlands, and The Meadow.
Split Rock Trail
The Split Rock Trail is a short, mostly paved trail leading to Split Rock, a giant glacial boulder. It offers inspiring views of the Hutchinson River Marshes, but in warmer months, can become overgrown.
You can also experience the charm of Pelham Bay Park on the Bridle Path from the Bronx Equestrian Center.
You can take the bike path from the Moshulu-Pelham Greenway or the Hutchinson River Greenway through Pelham Bay Park to Orchard Beach, Westchester, or City Island. Visit NYC DOT for the most recent bicycle maps.
