When everything shut down last year, we learned a lot about NYC and each other. We learned that dining room tables can be home offices, that home offices can also be classrooms, that staying inside because you must is very different from staying inside because you want to. Parks have always been oases of calm, but suddenly they were the only safe places to go.
This year, we're raising funds to hire two additional seasonal staff for Pelham Bay Park. But it's not just about the staff: volunteers are key to how parks thrive.
We're reaching out to you, our community, and asking you to celebrate Earth Day by volunteering with us and learning more about Pelham Bay Park.
Unfortunately, the forecast calls for rain for the entirety of this event. We’ve had to cancel.
Please subscribe to our newsletter for future events, or reach out if you’d like to volunteer in the future.
